While Johnny Cash and June Carter’s classic “I Walk the Line” comes to mind first, we really do mean walk the line. Your Pet Stop line, that is. Okay, ok…it’s a wire, but we just had to work in Johnny Cash somehow!
After our last blog post suggesting you walk your property to ensure there are no visible breaks in the line, we’ve received quite a few calls with questions. We are always happy to talk to our customers, but we thought we would take a minute and share a few helpful tips:
* Keep the collar at the dog’s level.
* Walk in/out of the signal field.
* If the beeping stops, step away and back in.
Note: The beeping stops after 10 seconds in the signal field. It’s important to walk the line in almost a wave (zig zag) so you are moving in/out of the signal field and reconnecting.
Please remember that no beeping doesn’t always mean there is a break in the line. Be sure to check your battery and replace if needed. Batteries can be ordered online: Order Now
As always, if you have questions, please reach out.

In closing…
Just in case you need a refresher, and so you can join us as we hum the song all day…
“You’ve got a way to keep me on your side. You give me cause for love that I can’t hide. For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide. Because you’re mine, I walk the line.”
(Think Johnny Cash wrote this about June, or his dog? Really quite interchangeable…the love we have for our pets is just as strong as the love we have for our family.)
